That’s just great…

I was woke up to the sound of my clock-radio 30 minutes ago. I then stood up, just to realize that my first class starts at 10 o’clock today :-) But now that I’m up anyway, I might aswell use the time.

Next week will be busy :-)

Next week I’ll be busy writing a large paper on Mersenne primes. All students in the Danish gymnasium have to make a big report every year. In the first form you write in Danish, in the second you write in history, and in the third and final form, you can choose among those subjects you’ve had in all three years. For me, that is Danish, math, and physics.

I’ve chosen to write about Mersenne primes (in mathematics). I get the exact assignment on Monday, and then I have one week for the writing. It’s going to be exciting — I’ve been polishing off my LaTeX-skills for the last couple of weeks for the job :-)

ANP again…

I’m sitting here at Aalborghus Net Party, ANP in short. I’ve only had about 4 hours of sleep this night :-)

A lot of computergames have been played — currently, people are battling it out in CounterStrike. We also have a very nice projector hooked up to a dvdplayer. If you take a look at this page, you’ll see your playlist, complete with estimated start-times, comments etc. (The link is in Danish)

A partial Lunar eclipse

Yesterday we had a beautiful partial lunar eclipse here in Denmark. For several hours the Moon went red, as Earth’s shadow swept across it. My dad took some photos of it, but we’ll have to wait until they are developed, to see whether or not they’re any good.

The Moon was red, because the Earth’s atmosphere bend that color more that the rest of the spectrum. I believe, that it’s the same effect that makes the sky blue.

Back to normal

Now that Christmas is over, I’ve reverted the colors here at gimpster.com to the normal light-blue.

By the way, I’ve made a page with a complete list of all entities defined in HTML 4.01. If your browser doesn’t display all the characters, it simply means that it is somewhat broken. My Netscape 6 shows all the entities, including all the Greek letters, the mathematical symbols and even some of the more weird ones. I must say, that it surprises me a little, since I had no idea, that I had fonts with all these letters and symbols.
