News-system

The news-system is now fully operational! And so is the screenshots-section also, since it uses almost exactly the same code.

The pages now only find the most recent news and screenshots. The older news can be found on this page and the old screenshots can be found here. These two pages were “free” to implement, thanks to my nifty little function that returns the filenames for the news and screenshots. I’ve made it so if passed a positive argument for the treshold between the old and new files, then it will return the new files. If it is passed a negative argumant, then it returns the old files. So this page and the old-news page are almost identical. Just one of the joys of using [PHP][] :-)

New books

Two books

I’ve just received two new books from Amazon. They are both computer books, the most ambitious of them is Beginning Linux Programming and it is rather advanced. I’ve only read a few pages so far, but it looks very promising! It will deal with all sorts of programming-tasks under Linux, mostly c-oriented but will also touch things like GTK+, Pearl and CGI-programming.

The other book I bought is Evil Geniuses in a Nutshell : A User Friendly Guide to World Domination. Its a cartoon about the daily lives in a Linux company — very funny, if you have the technical background to understand the jokes.

Things are evolving

My site is definitely heading in the right direction. I’ve been rearranging thing a bit, and I’ve taken some screenshots showing of EFM and e in general.

Digital Blasphemy

I’ve just bought a years membership at Digital Blasphemy. I figured, that when I get my new monitor, I would need some cool-looking backgrounds for efm. And when you have paid your 25$, you have access to about 400 pictures. Many of these are rendered in 1600×1200.

I’m also working on a screenshots-section, so expect to see a lot of beautiful pictures from Digital Blasphemy there.

Math

Today I’m studying math for my test on Friday. My good friend Kristian is also with me. Smile to the camera, Kristian!

Kristian: Smiles

Martin: “Good dog :-)”

Kristian: “Humorous, hah!”

Some people should be locked away… and that’s you Martin!
